I first met and photographed Cedella Marley, the eldest daughter of legendary musician Bob Marley and three-time Grammy winner a few years ago when she commissioned me to shoot one of her clothing lines in Miami. From the moment I met her, I was amazed at how approachable and at the same time, how focused and decisive she was. Cedella has many jobs and roles, author-singer-dancer-fashion designer-mom-actress-entrepreneur and benefactor…

Cedella has a need for an ongoing stream of fresh imagery and I’m very happy that our recent collaboration was so successful. We created a small image library for her in the course of a one-day photo shoot creating an array of looks and scenarios.

I’m inspired by Cedella’s seemingly tireless energy and good will and thought I’d mention her involvement with the Reggae Girlz, the women’s Jamaican Football team.

Through her efforts and monetary support, Cedella helped save the team from being dismantled and spearheaded the funding efforts to bring them all the way to the finals.
